I pled guilty to an Armed Robbery and gun charge. I was homeless, desperate, and needed my phone to contact a friend of mine for pickup to be taken to a house that we were moving too but my phone died. Me being in a desperate state i didn't think to ask for help, i felt like no one would care so i had to take matters into my own hands so i made up my mind to steal a charger from a gas station. I had a gun in my waistband but had no intention on using it. When leaving the store i was confronted by a clerk, they rushed into my space, forced his hand into my chest demanding that i give it back. My response to this was to turn to the side to slide past him but as i did so the side of my jacket where the gun was covered was pushed back to due slight contact between us and the gun was exposed. The guy called the cops saying that it was a robbery and i told the investigator everything that happened once i was arrested. I've learned so much from this situation and will never allow myself to be put in a situation like that again.
